Description

Better sleep for you and your baby starts here. Designed with just the right amount of stretch, this cozy swaddle transition provides a secure, enclosed feel that helps calm the startle reflex while still allowing plenty of movement for healthy hip development. The unique star-shaped design offers a gentle sense of security, promoting deeper, more restful sleep.

Why choose the Zipadee-Zip Swaddle Transition:

  • A safer alternative once your baby starts to wiggle and roll.
  • Freedom of movement so your baby can safely push themselves up or roll over.
  • Our unique starfish design mimics the cozy feeling of the womb to provide an extra level of comfort and security.
  • Designed based on safe sleep recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
  • Suitable for little ones 3 months–3 years.
  • Intended for sleeping only and should not be used for walking or running

If your baby is 3 months+ or starting to roll over it might be time to try The Zipadee-Zip! We recommend wearing a bodysuit or lightweight pjs underneath.

FAQs

Is my baby ready for the Zipadee-Zip?

Is your baby waking up more often at night? Is your baby starting to roll over? If you’re nodding your head “yes”, it’s time to consider transitioning out of the swaddle. The Zipadee-Zip may be right for your baby if they meet the following criteria:

  • Your baby can/is trying to  roll over
  • Your baby is 3+ months
  • Your baby weighs at least 12 pounds
  • Your baby is breaking out of the swaddle

How do I make a successful transition out of the swaddle and into the Zipadee-Zip?

There a few things to keep in mind when ensuring a successful transition out the swaddle and into the Zipadee-Zip:

  • Ensure that there is slight resistance in the wing-span: This is a key element in helping babies feel secure once the swaddle is gone.
  • Use the Zipadee-Zip for naps first to ease into the transition; then build up to using it during the night.
  • Don’t try to use the Zipadee-Zip too soon: If your little one is still sleeping well while swaddled and is not trying to roll over back to front, it may be best to wait until they are showing signs they are ready for more freedom. Be sure to have the Zipadee-Zip on hand for when this happens though, as it literally can happen overnight!

How long does it take for the Zipadee-Zip to work?

Every baby is different, so results vary. However, most people see sleep improvements after 7-10 days.

What do I do if my baby is in between sizes?

Make sure that you properly measured your babies height to ensure you are between sizes. If so, we recommend sizing down and purchasing a snuggle strap!

Good transition from swaddle

My baby wouldn’t sleep without being swaddled, so when it was time to transition to sleeping with arms free this was a great middle position. It was really easy to get on and off for diaper changes, and it seemed to really help her get used to having a bit more range of motion without triggering the startle reflex. My only complaint is that the fabric really pills after a few washes, though it stays fairly soft and doesn’t get that Velcro effect like some pilled fabrics do.

Excellent for transition out of swaddle

Love love love! These work well because my little has eczema and is still scratching their face and it will wake them up, but he can roll. So this is perfect!

So soft

This sleeper is so soft and a great transition after swaddling.

Great for bed time

Have loved by these with all of my kiddos. They know they are going to bed for the night when they get zipped in.

Poly/spandex nightmare

Going lower with my rating. In an effort to use natural materials, this item falls off the list due to such limited availability of even “cotton blend” options. Sad. The poly/spandex blend is ridiculous. Item is stretchy and my kiddo regularly kicks and stretches the whole thing, getting their arm out the neck hole and stuck like that. Every night. The cotton one they outgrew didn’t have that stretch factor. Plus Would be happy for them to make the switch as this item does really work.

This “starfish” design is amazing to transition from swaddle to sleeping on own!

I was told my several people to buy this product because it worked for their babies. So I did and I won’t go back! This purchase was the best I can do!! I used this until my daughter was 13 months old. She loved sleeping in this “starfish” nighty. The stretchiness was perfect! I am happy there’s different sizes for the life stages. It is warm and comfy. My daughter grown to love it so much that she couldn’t sleep without it! I highly recommend!

This helps our babygirl sleep

At 7 months our baby was rolling around a lot trying to go to sleep. I can see that our babygirl can go to sleep in this faster when we zip her up. Love this thing! My husband and I call it her starfish.

A must have once they outgrow a swaddle.

Really helped my 15mo sleep with no startle reflex.
