If I could kiss the inventor of these I would. My 6 month old has hated a swaddle since the day she was born. We used a Love to Dream until it was time to transition to something else. Zipadee Zip is the best thing since sliced bread. It’s very light weight, think a sheet on a big person bed. We keep our room a cool 68 degrees so she uses fleece pjs underneath. Keeps her cozy but she can still use her hands to roll back and forth. Also helps with the startle reflex. Will use them until she tells me to stop.

Perfect transition from swaddle

We’ve had this for a week and my 13 week old is sleeping great surprisingly.I was so nervous to transition from a swaddle bc she would wake up if her arms got free at all during the night or for naps. This gives enough restriction for her with the freedom to move a bit and gives this mama peace of mind when she starts to try and roll. I got the Velcro band separately and think this has helped with the transition too. I’ll remove that in a few weeks. My baby is tall and chunky and was in between sizes, I went with M so she wouldn’t outgrow it, the neck doesnt come up around her mouth like some of the reviews have said but when she raises both arms the chest where the zipper is raised up- the band keeps this from happening though and as she gets bigger I bet this won’t be an issue. It’s also a bit stretchy and thin material. It’s lightweight too- we live in FL so that’s important!

Life saver!

My baby absolutely loves this! She has the ability to move her arms (she doesn't like the one where her arms are tucked down) and is able to get to her hands to suck on them. She falls asleep so well in these compared to sleeping without one or any other sleeper. It has a nice taper in the belly area to give a little compression around the belly. They are thin and breathable, my baby now doesn't get hot anymore which has been a life saver this summer!! They're so soft and dry very quickly if they get wet.

Love this sack! Works for us

Love this sleep sack! I think this style of sleep suit with plenty of room for arms and legs is so great and versatile, if you’re like me and have sore armed wrists etc etc from carrying bub all day and night long and if your baby is like my bub and is a contact sleeper, so for some of his naps I have him in the carrier. In the hopes to transition him by any chance to the crib for each nap, it’s great to be able to have him in a sack while I rock him in the carrier and transition him to the crib so he can already be in his sack while he sleeps. He’s been sleeping much better in this sack then the regular style sack and he loves rolling around while sleeping and I must say he does it much easier in this sack it seems and wakes less and makes me worry less. Plus, he is so so cute in it, I call him my little starfish🥰⭐️

Excellent with minor concerns

My son used more restricting swaddles fresh home from the hospital but I transitioned to these after a few weeks because 1) it was so hard to breastfeed and change him with the ones that Velcro over their chest and the Velcro always woke him up when I undid it and 2) my baby personally likes having his hands above his head but still has that darn startle reflex. This solved all my issues! It's super easy to change him in the middle of the night, it's soft, easy to wash, and allows him to move his arms around to self sooth and get comfortable while reducing the impact of his startle reflex. I have both the light blue and light green and they are lovely. My only gripe is some of the colors (his first one was the orange one) doesn't have the option to zip from the bottom. IDK why there's that inconsistency but it's a minor detail. I also wish the zipper wouldn't bulge up when he's laying down. I just make sure to move it so it's buldging on his chest rather than up in his face. Also be sure to check use top zipper fabric cover since it sits up my your baby's chin and neck-- you don't wanna poke them and this one has a very small fabric cover for it.

Good for transition but rough and pilly material

My baby likes it but the material isn’t very soft after a couple weeks and it pills. Leaves a rash because my baby rubs his face with it.

Some adjustment time but great

My baby started rolling over early so the small size was a little big and still allowed him to startle enough to wake up. Thickness is like a light blanket, so depending on the temperature, would only need a onesie. Easy to use, I would place him in it once asleep. Very soft and after some adjustment time, will be perfect to use.

The Zippadee Voodoo Magic!

Amazing!! The zippadee magic is so real. My premie 6th month old has always been an amazing sleeper until she could no longer be swaddled in her halo sack due to being able to roll. We were able to get good sleep at night or during the day unless she was swaddled up. We got this sleep sack on a wim and man is it magic. Not only can she roll say in her sleep but she went back to napping 1.5+ hours and sleeping 10-12 hours straight at night. Thank you zippadee!

FAQs

Is my baby ready for the Zipadee-Zip?

Is your baby waking up more often at night? Is your baby starting to roll over? If you’re nodding your head “yes”, it’s time to consider transitioning out of the swaddle. The Zipadee-Zip may be right for your baby if they meet the following criteria:

  • Your baby can roll over
  • Your baby is 3+ months
  • Your baby weighs at least 12 pounds

How do I make a successful transition out of the swaddle and into the Zipadee-Zip?

There a few things to keep in mind when ensuring a successful transition out the swaddle and into the Zipadee-Zip:

  • Ensure that there is slight resistance in the wing-span: This is a key element in helping babies feel secure once the swaddle is gone.
  • Use the Zipadee-Zip for naps first to ease into the transition; then build up to using it during the night.
  • Don’t try to use the Zipadee-Zip too soon: If your little one is still sleeping well while swaddled and hasn't yet rolled from back to front, it may be best to wait until they are showing signs they are ready for more freedom. Be sure to have the Zipadee-Zip on hand for when this happens though, as it literally can happen overnight!

How long does it take for the Zipadee-Zip to work?

Every baby is different, so results vary. However, most people see sleep improvements after 7-10 days.

What do I do if my baby is in between sizes?

Make sure that you properly measured your babies height to ensure you are between sizes. If so, we recommend sizing down and purchasing a snuggle strap!
