The Zipadee-Zip features a patented starfish design that provides gentle resistance in the arms, mimicking the snug, secure feeling of a swaddle while allowing freedom of movement. This keeps babies warm and cozy without restricting their mobility. 

If your baby is rolling over, waking more frequently at night, or is 3+ months old and weighs at least 12 pounds, it might be time to transition from a swaddle to the Zipadee-Zip. It provides a cozy, safe environment for babies to move and explore. 

The right time to transition varies, but consider using the Zipadee-Zip once your baby shows signs of trying to roll over or shows signs of outgrowing their swaddle. Start by using it for naps before moving to overnight use. 

Newborns have a strong startle reflex, and swaddling is key to keeping them calm. The Zipadee-Zip's slight arm resistance may not be sufficient for the newborns. Zippy Swaddle is better suited for newborns. Once the baby starts to show signs of trying to roll over, we recommend switching over to the Zipadee-Zip transition swaddle.

Yes, the Zipadee-Zip is designed with a loose fit around the legs, promoting healthy hip development and helping prevent hip dysplasia. It’s also suitable for babies who wear hip dysplasia braces at night. 

Here’s a quick guide:

• Extra Small: For babies 3+ months, rolling but on the smaller side (under 25 inches). 
• Small: Ideal for babies 4-8 months, 25-29 inches long. 
• Medium: Fits babies 6-12 months, 29-33 inches tall. 
• Large: Designed for babies 12-24 months, 33-37 inches tall. Perfect for those transitioning from crib to toddler bed. 

**Zipadee-Zip should be snug and offer a slight arm resistance. If your baby is in-between sizes, we recommend that you go for the smaller size or use a snuggle strap for a cozy fit.

The Zipadee-Zip works well with light PJs or a onesie underneath. Dress your baby according to room temperature, but avoid heavy layers, as cooler temperatures (68–72°F) help babies sleep better. 

Most babies transition from the Zipadee-Zip around age 2, when they move from a crib to a bed. The Large Zipadee-Zip works well until this point, after which you can transition to the Flying Squirrel PJ for toddlers. 

The Zipadee-Zip uses soft, breathable fabrics that prevent overheating, ideal for babies with sensitive skin. We do not use chemical treatments, and instead, use naturally flame-resistant fibers to ensure safety without sacrificing comfort. 

Wash your Zipadee-Zip fully zipped and inside out in warm water. Line dry or use low heat for the best results. For stubborn drool marks, pre-treat with white vinegar before washing.
